I have been a clinical therapist since I graduated MSW in 2011, and received my Licensed Clinical Social Work status in 2014 in Alaska (LCSW #1316) and in 2021 became licensed in Oregon (#12890) . I am excited to be offering clinical supervision for LCSW licensure through the State of Alaska. I also offer additionally professional consultation services in Alaska and Oregon. As a graduate of University of Alaska’s Master of Social Work program, and over 300 hours of specific training for Gender Affirming HealthCare, I offer professional support to those who wish to offer an additional depth of barriers and cultural competence in gender affirming LGBTQIA+ areas to their clients.
I strive to make a strong connection with supervisees to make the relationship as rewarding as possible. In supervision, I provide concrete tools for helping clients, while challenging supervisees look at the situation through a trauma-focused and social justice lens as well as systemically and ethically. I share a wealth of resources that I have accumulated through my own research and training. Our state and our world need more affirming and trauma informed social workers and therapists around.
One of the keys to a successful career as a clinician is clinical supervision. Clinical supervision is an important factor in your success. Your journey to becoming a licensed professional can seem overwhelming from making sure you understand all of the requirements for licensure to finding your ideal employment to obtain your clinical hours. The good thing is that you do not have to do this alone. I look forward to working with you!
